Next up on my travel series is Maui, Hawaii! This beautiful island holds a special place in my heart. It's where my husband and I got married almost a year ago. We absolutely loved it there, and can't wait to go back. We actually stayed in the town of Paia, which I now know is the most vegan friendly area on the island. I missed a few of the best places though, so I can't wait to try the amazing variety of dining options the next time we return!
Vegetarian Vietnamese food in Paia on the north shore. I can't believe I missed out on this place when I was here - it sounds great. Just another reason I need to go back...
Joy's Place
Located in Kihei, this vegan-friendly restaurant has soups, salads, sandwiches and smoothies, as well as some raw food selections.
Choice Health Bar
On the west side. Kristy at Keepin' It Kind raved so much about their acai bowls, that I don't think I could pass up trying one!
Ono Gelato
Locations all over the island and offers lots of vegan gelato choices. We did go to the Paia location when we were here, and it is amazing!
Flatbread Company
Flatbread is a cool, laid-back restaurant in Paia. They offer a vegan pizza and some really amazing salads. We went here twice on our trip because it was so good.
Mana Foods
A great grocery store market in Paia. They have vegan baked goods and to-go items. Perfect place to stop if you are on your way to drive the Road to Hana.

Anyone else have tips for vegan dining in Maui, or in other parts of Hawaii?

DeleteSigh...I love Hawaii. I've been a few times, but not in about 6 years. Thankfully, I get to go next December (ie. 2013). I cannot wait. I already have a countdown going on my iPhone. LOL. I think we are heading to Maui and Oahu.
